A Kindermusik class can help children's social and emotional skills

Research demonstrates that involvement in music and movement activities like Kindermusik from an early age helps children develop good social and emotional skills. Research also links social and emotional development with school-readiness and even with higher academic testing scores. It's no surprise. After all, the same skills that foster emotional security and social success - skills like confidence, curiosity, cooperation, self-regulation, and good listening - predict cognitive achievement and academic success as well.

Kindermusik supports Change 4 Life

Change 4 Life is the government initiative to encourage children to be more healthy by eating properly and doing more exercise.
Kindermusik programmes contain and music and movement. We realise children learn and develop better when they are able to move their bodies to music. It improves their sense of balance, their spatial awareness, burns up energy and its lots of fun. Each 45 minute class can be a significant contributor to the daily exercise recommended by the government, with dancing, instrument play along, fine and gross motor movement time, rocking, object play and more.
If you are yet to experience a Kindermusik class, call your local educator for a free trial.

Kindermusik partners with Sainsbury's Active Kids

From today Kindermusik will partner with Sainbury's as part of the Active Kids promotion. This runs from February 11th to June 3rd 2009.

Every time a customer spends £10 or more at their nearest store or online, Sainsbury's will give the customer an Active Kids voucher. This will enable the customer to claim a free activity like Kindermusik by looking at the Sainsbury's website and finding details of their nearest venue. Customers will need to contact their nearest educator ahead to book a class.

We are very excited by this partnership as we believe it will give more children the opportunity to try a quality music and movement programme like Kindermusik but also to increase their level of acitvity and consequently lead a healthier lifestyle.
